The sword is a martial melee weapon and an attack with it deals d8 slash damage. This weapon has both the Finesse and Versatile properties.
Finesse. If you are skilled with this weapon, while wielding it in one hand you can add either your Strength or Dexterity to attack and damage rolls made with it. If you use Dexterity, use the damage dice in parenthesis.
Versatile. If you wield this weapon it in two hands for a melee attack, use the damage dice in parenthesis.
