New page

<noinclude>TTRPG
</noinclude>Sometimes an item requires attunement before you can benefit from its full effects. Attunement is a bond with an item obtained through one shift (or 4 hours) of dedicated physical interaction with the object, such as practicing movement in cumbersome armor, or meditating with a magic amulet.

Finishing attunement with the item instills you with familiarity with how to use it, and if the item is magical it resizes to your body shape and size.

If you use such an item without first attuning to it, you can still use its basic object effects. A magic sword for example would function just like a regular sword, and an unattuned wand still makes for a fine fetching stick.

Attunement isn’t exclusive to magic items. Moving effectively in plate armor for example requires practice and adjustment, through attunement.

Attunement Limits
* You can maintain a number of attunements equal to your skill level. If this limit would be exceeded, attuning to a new item will break your attunement to a previous item of your choice.
* You can’t be attuned to two copies of the same item.
* An item can be attuned to no more than one creature at a time. Attuning to an item breaks its attunement with any previous creature.
